Our 17 and 18 DDSL Premier had impressive away wins in the Leinster Youths Cup - the 17's 6-0 at Albion Rovers and the 18's 7-2 at Phoenix FC
The senior team had got the weekend off to a good start on Friday night when they were too good for Boyne Rovers in their league tie at a wet St Aidans winning 8-3 having gone ahead by three inside the first five minutes. The goal of the night was the last one - scored by Jordan Farry who hit a screamer into the top corner from fully thirty yards fifteen minutes from time. There were excellent hat-tricks from Josh Peyton (pictured) and Craig Commiskey with Jordan Cromwell also getting on the scoresheet.
Team; Browne, McCabe, Conway, Cunningham, McKenna, Burke, Commiskey, Farry, Cromwell, Harrison, Peyton.
Subs used; Guirgilia, Rayner, Rooney.
The largest crowd so far seen at a game in St Aidan's witnessed tonight's SFAI Skechers Evans Cup tie between SKB Under 15 DDSL Premier and St Josephs Boys
The top under 15's sides in the country produced an excellent cup tie with lots of good football from both sides, some great individual displays but very few clear cut chances and in such a tight game in which the result was in the balance until the final whistle the team that took whatever half chance came their way was going to win it and Joeys done that ten minutes from half time when Destiny fired home from close range.
