Players from 27 different States of the USA were involved with the five Super Club USA teams that SKB hosted on Sunday at Ward Cross.
Some excellent players were on view in all of the games none more so than at the youngest level which produced the best and closest game of the day where our Under 12 Premier team acquitted themselves very well against a side to whom they were conceding a year in age and who were physically bigger all round.
Pat Ozburn Academy Director of SuperClub USA said they were delighted to get the opportunity to come to Ireland for the first time and get to play against St. Kevin's Boys Club which he described as a "class club with class players and coaches with high standards which has made it famous worldwide" He was proud of his boys which he said were "such great ambassadors of not only SuperClubs, but the USA"
A number of our teams are involved in the Kells Blackwater tournament which provides games from Under 9 to Under 18 and starts on Saturday next (6th) and runs for three weekends at The Grange Grounds in Kells.
