SKB Under 14 Premier and Belvedere provided an entertaining 2-2 draw at Shanowen Road this morning in a game in which both teams had chances to win it.
It was 0-0 at half time with SKB having been on top throughout the first half and missing a couple of very decent chances to take the lead that their domination merited. They did however go in front from the penalty spot early in the second half through Jamie Farrell and doubled the lead soon after when Darragh Burns finished smartly from eighteen yards. Straight away Belvedere pulled a goal back and from then on they were on top adding an equaliser ten minutes from time and the home side were forced to defend to stop themselves falling behind. Rufus Ngmaine had a half chance near the end to snatch a home win but hooked his shot wide.
A draw was probably a fair result overall.
