Two goals from Killian O'Brien and the other from Ope Abriu gave our 14Premier NDSL side a comfortable 3-1 away win over Corduff F C this morning in the SFAI Goodson Cup.
Our Under 13 Premier team overcame the disappointment of last weeks DDSL Liam Brady Cup exit to Belvedere this morning when they moved into the next round of the SFAI Under 13 Sketchers Cup with a well deserved 3-0 win over Crumlin United at Shanowen Road.
There was not much between the sides in the first half and chances were scarce until Kordea Odumoso was tripped in the box and Dylan Quinn put the penalty away into the bottom corner after 15 minutes and it stayed that way until half time.
The early part of the second half was tight but gradually SKB began to dominate the game and following a period of sustained pressure centre back Leigh Kavanagh powered home a header from a corner kick with ten minutes to go that allowed some breathing space. Len O'Sullivan came up with the third goal in the dying minutes following a determined run he scored from a difficult angle on the end line in off the far post.
Brian McCabe and Derek Ryan have our DDSL 12C team moving well this season and they had a fine 9-0 win this morning in the DDSL Farry Cup away against Dalkey United.
