Congratulations this morning to SKB men Robbie Brady and Jeff Hendrick and also not forgetting video analysis man Gary Seery on thier part in helping Ireland qualify for the Euro 2016 finals in France next summer
Brady has impressed throughout Ireland's qualifying campaign despite being regularly shifted from left back to left side of midfield but he certainly came of age on the international stage in recent months capping it all with a man of the match performance last night.
"Words can't describe how I'm feeling now and the rest of the lads. Growing up you live for these type of days, I've seen all the important games over the years but to be a part of it, to help the team and the country get to where we want to be in a major tournament is beyond belief for me. I'm just so proud of everyone involved"
Jeff Hendrick and Robbie are players who have grown up playing alongside each other since they were six years of age when they started kicking a ball at St Kevin's Boys Club right through the Ireland ranks from schoolboy to senior level and it is a very proud day for the Club to see them share such a special moment in their careers last night, and they continue to be role models and an inspiration for the current generation of SKB players who are following in their footsteps with dreams of emulating them.
Even though they are no longer active in SKB great credit must go to the managers and coaches who shaped both Jeff and Robbie and many other very good players during their time at the Club - namely Billy McCormac, Kevin Wallace and Paul Boyle.
