Two games at Shanowen Road today produced two home wins as our 13 Premier and 14 Premier teams kept their runs going with 2-0 and 3-0 wins respectively over Templeogue United and Shelbourne F C.
The 13's struggled to overcome Templeogue and were guilty of some missed chances before they benefitted from a Templeogue defenders mis hit clearance that resulted in an own goal ten minutes into the second half, Koredea Odonosu added a second late in the second half.
The 14's were always on top in keeping their unbeaten start to the season going against Shelbourne - Aaron Vickers and Dwayne McCourt scored first half goals and McCourt added his second early in the second half to secure a comfortable win, it could have been more had they not had two other second half goals ruled out for offside.
Our 12 Premier got back on track with a 9-2 win over Crumlin United in the College of Surgeons but our 11A lost to three late St Francis goals in a 7-4 defeat in Baldonnell.
Also back to winning ways are our 15B who last week recorded their first defeat of the season but they bounced back today with a 4-0 home win over Knocklyon United in Ellenfield.
A Stephen Murtagh goal was enough to see our Senior Saturday side advance through to a semi final spot after a second round win in the AUL Paddy Cole Cup in a hard fought tie against Hardwick FC at Richmond Road.
