Our first team's impressive pre season form continued today when they defeated Leinster Senior League outfit Dublin Bus 4-2 in the final of the Tolka Rovers Frank Cooke Cup Tournament at Frank Cooke Park.
Player of the Tournament Stephen Cantwell (pictured) scored a hat trick with captain Robert Pearson adding to the scoreboard in an impressive display ahead of next weeks start to their Premier A League campaign with games away to Finglas United next Sunday at Larney Park (11am) and Trinity/Donaghmede at Fr Collins Park on Thursday 20th at 7pm.
Our Senior Saturday team open with games away on Saturday next to Sheriff YC in Chanel at 2pm and home in the AUL Complex on Wednesday (19th) to Buttercrust United at 7pm.
After a couple of pre-season friendlies our first team moved their preparations up a notch tonight when beating Tolka Rovers 3-0 in the Frank Cooke Cup.
A goal in each half from Jordan Cromwell (pictured) and an excelent strike from Stephen Cantwell just before the finish gave them a well deserved win and a place in Sundays final against Dublin Bus.
