Last night we were again delighted to welcome as part of our strategic link with West Bromwich Albion - Tom Bates performance coach, psychologist and author who conducted two highly productive sessions - firstly with our Premier players and then later with our Premier coaches - which were of the highest quality and gave both groups plenty to ponder as they seek to improve as players and coaches going forward.
We are indebted to Tom for taking the time out of his extremely heavy workload both with WBA and other organisations that benefit from his expertise as one of the worlds foremost performance coaches.
Over the last 10 years Tom Bates has worked with international athletes, coaches, managers and teams helping them to perform under pressure and be at their best when it matters the most.
Tom specialises in enhancing mental and emotional performance to create and sustain a supreme optimistic spirit and self-belief.
His work in professional sport in addition to WBA includes England Rugby, GB Basketball, Swimming, Boxing, Golf and Fencing.
During the summer Olympic Games of 2012 Tom worked with select GB athletes to maximise performance and apply peak performance principles based in the science of psychology.
He has extended his work in performance psychology to executive business coaching seminars and workshops around the world.
During these highly interactive seminars, exercises are designed to stimulate and inspire thought provoking leadership skills focusing exclusive on the management of self.
