Our Under 12 DDSL Premier team moved into the last 8 of the SFAI Danone Cup with a penalty shoot-out win (4-3) over Belvedere at the Clontarf All Weather pitch this morning after being level 1-1 at the end of extra time..............
This afternoon at Hollygrove in Wexford town our Under 15 DDSL Premier team also reached the last 8 of the SFAI Evans Cup with a comprehensive 5-1 win over North End United. Playing with a stiff breeze in the first half they only had a Jack Ryan goal direct from a free kick to show for their efforts at half time and the score might even have been level at that stage with Brian Maher making an excellent save midway through the first half to keep the home side out. In the first minute of the second half Jordan Pitshou added a second but some sloppy play soon after gave the home side a chance which they took to make the game tighter than it should have been. Lido Lotefa added two more and Jake Walker rounder off the scoring.
There were good League wins today also for our 12A (3-1 Cabinteely) 13P (5-1 Shelbourne) 14P (Mount Merrion) AUL2 (5-2 Sheilton) while our 13Major team advance in the DDSL Flood Cup with a 7-1 home win over Leixlip United.
