Five SKB teams were involved in last 32 SFAI Cup action today at various venues spread throughout the country.
A superb strike after five minutes by Dylan Quinn was all that seperated our 12 Premier DDSL side today when they played Thomastown United away in the SFAI Danone Cup in a game played in sunny but very very windy conditions. It was a good all round team performance that dug out this win with centre backs Ronan Kilkenny and Chris Kenny to the fore in dealing capably with the Thomastown attack.
A bus breakdown in Fermoy did not interfere unduly with our 12 Premier NDSL side as they made the long trip to Clonakilty a winning one by beating Lyre Rovers 2-0 to join the 12 Premier DDSL in the last 16.
At Shanowen Road our 15 Premier DDSL team prooved too strong for Rathoath Harps in the SFAI Evans Cup winning 7-2 while our 16 Premier NDSL side reached the last 16 of the SFAI Barry Cup with a 2-1 win in Ramstown over Gorey Rangers.
Mervue United proved too strong for our 14 Premier NDSL side winning 2-0 at Fahys Field.
