Our 1st team recovered from last weeks heavy defeat to Sherriff Y C in the AUL Nivea Cup and moved into fourth place in the Premier A League table with a four goal victory over O’Devaney Dunard in Shanowen Road .
The early exchanges were pretty even up until Ross Harrison played Gavin Quinn in with a neat pass and Quinn took the ball around the Dunard keeper and finished superbly from a tight angle to break the deadlock after 25 minutes.
The advantage was doubled on 38 minutes when Ross Harrison was fouled in the box and Peter O’Reilly scored the resulting penalty.
O'Devaney had a chance to halve the defecit five minutes into the second half when a penalty was awarded for hand ball in the Kevin's area but the chance was missed with the penalty being put over the bar.
Sean Leavy then fired a screamer fifteen minutes into the second half to open up a three goal lead, before Stephen Cantwell finished the scoring from a penalty ten minutes from the end for his sixth league goal of the season.
