Highlight of our 14 Premier NDSL 7 - 0 Goodson Cup fourth round win over Woodlawn Sportslink was Gavin Doyle's five goal scoring spree as the home side proved far too good in this game that was played at Shanowen Road yesterday - Jack Bolton and Harry Dunne were the other two scorers.
Our hold on the SFAI Barry Cup was surrendered by our 16 DDSL Premier who were disappointing in their defeat by main rivals Belvedere F C (2 - 1) at Shanowen Road. They were left to rue a couple of missed chances and were undone by a goal from a set piece and a deflective shot which put Belvedere 2 - 0 up with ten minutes to go, Mikey Cregan produced an excellent piece of skill and a class finish to pull a goal back almost immediately but they left themselves with too much to do against a hard working focused Belvedere side.
Jack Funge scored the only goal in our 13 Premier DDSL Brady Cup win at Leixlip in a close encounter that went to extra time while our 17 Super were too good for Cabinteely F C in the third round of the FAI Under 17 Cup winning 5 - 1 away. Our 18 Super were defeated in the Leinster Youth Cup away to Belvedere F C.
The dismissal of Ryan Cassidy on a straight red card after only five minutes was the turing point in our DDSL 24 Premier's 1 - 0 defeat at home on Saturday by League leaders Cherry Orchard F C in a game where the other ten players strove manfully for over an hour in a game which they deserved at least a draw from.
