Easter time and early April sees many of our teams depart to take part in various tournaments in the UK and Europe.
Our U13 Premier are currently in Majorca taking part in the East Mallorca Cup - a tournament where we finished in second place last year.
Their initial group include: Juventus Academy Brazil, Villareal CF, Pena Orient Deportivo and FC Stade - Payerne.
They opened their group games with a 4-0 win against Juventus Academy Brazil with goals from Conor Walshe, Sam Mc Kenna, Jake Mc Guinness and Rocco Lawlor.
They faced a much tougher task in their next game against a very strong Villareal CF side who had won their two previous games on a 25-0 aggragate score, the final score was 0-4.
They began today with a 3-1 win against Pena Oeient Deportivo and followed that up with a 7-0 win over FC Stade Payerne this afternoon in a bid to clinch best overall second place.
But unfortunately they are out of the competition even though they finished with 9 points out of a possible 12 and a +9 goal difference but Arsenal finished on 10 points which puts them through as best runners up.
Unlucky.
Our U17 Premier are taking part in the 2 day Clones Town FC Mc Cabe tournament.which started yesterday where they had victories over Newbridge Town FC and Armagh City FC which put them into the semi final against Ballyraine FC.
A 2-1 victory against Ballyraine saw a place in the final secured against Newbridge Town (18's) but they went down 2-0.
