Our under 16 premier team advance into the last eight of their national cup competition with a hard earned 3-1 win over Westport United this afternoon in St Aidans following their wasted journey west last week where the pitch in Westport was deemed unplayable by the referee less than an hour before kick off.
They will meet local rivals Belvedere in the quarter final in three weeks time after todays win in which Sean McDonnell, Sam Cummins and Josh Phoenix scored the a;; important goals.
Not so fortunate were our under 17's who went out of the FAI under 17 cup tamely at the semi-final stage this morning to league rivals Peamount United in Greenogue on a 0-3 scoreline which was surprising given their impressive run of results in the previous rounds.
