On Friday night at Shanowen Road our 18 Super (1996's) got the 3 points they needed in a 6-3 win over Crumlin United and thereby clinched the DDSL 18 Super League. Our 1996's have won the DDSL Premier League at every age group from 11 Premier (under 11 was 11 a side at that time) to under 18. Although a lot of the players who started out at under 11 are no longer at the Club some having moved on to careers in football it is still a great achievement and as far as the record books are concerned unprecedented. Great credit is due to all the players and managers/coaches down through the years for the high standards that they maintained and improved upon over the years.
Our under 16 Premier are one game away from achieving a treble having come from behind to beat perennial rivals Templeogue United 2-1 at Shanowen Road with Sean Maguire scoring both goals. The last game of the season takes place tomorrow night June 10th at 7pm in Shanowen against Home Farm F C.
