This weekend sees three of our teams play in the finals of their respective SFAI National Cups.
After a long season these finals represent the glory for any group of players to participate in and be crowned champions of Ireland at their age group and they follow in the footsteps of so many other SKB teams before them who have achieved such success.
The paths to the final were long and difficult.
Our Under 12's played eight games to reach this stage with seven out of the eight being played away from home.
Starting in early October away to Phoenix FC followed by Templeogue United, Newbridge Town, Cherry Orchard, Portlaoise FC, Springfield Ramblers(Cobh), Castlebar Celtic(Mayo) at home in the quarter-final and finally away to St Josephs Boys in the semi-final - some journey.
Our Under 14's played seven games to reach the final with three out of the seven being played away from home.
Starting in November at home in the first three rounds to Malahide United, St Josephs Boys and Cherry Orchard then away in the next three rounds to Southend United (Waterford), Avenue United and Corbally United (Limerick) followed by a home semi-final against Holy Cross from (Limerick).
Our Under 15's also played eight games to get this far with five at home and three away.
Crumlin United and Home Farm both at home were followed by three away games at Finglas Celtic, Cherry Orchard and Mallow Town(Cork) then home to Pike Rovers(Limerick), Knocknacarra FC(Galway) and finally Salthill Devon(Galway) in the semi-final.
They have all earned their right to be where they are and we hope everyone will get out and support them over the weekend.
Good luck to everyone involved.
