This weekend we are involved in four out of a possible five SFAI Cup semi-finals at under 12, under 14, under 15 and under 16 with three games on Saturday and one on Sunday - two home and two away. We currently are the holders of two national titles at under 12 and under 14 from 2020 as there were no SFAI Cup competitions in 2021.
With the 14's and 15's already through to their finals and the 16's out by the narrowest of margins tomorrow's final game sees our under 12's cross the city to take on an unbeaten St Josephs Boys side in what should be a close and exciting encounter.
This weekend also sees lots of SKB teams involved in DDSL cup action with the 13 Inter away to Shelbourne in the DDSL Liam Brady Cup sem-final in the AUL Complex where they came from behind to win on penalties after a 2-2 draw after extra time.
Paddy Moran's under 14 major side also needed extra time but not penalties when they played Finglas United in the DDSL Harmon Cup quarter final in St Aidans winning 2-1 aet to advance to next weeks semi-final.
Both our under 11A Saturday and Sunday teams play Greystones and Shankhill in the Condren and Fitzgerald Cup respectively - winning 5-0 away to Greystones and 6-2 at home to Shankhill while the 11A1 won 5-2 away to Raheny United also in the DDSL Fitzgerald Cup.
In the DDSL O'Neills Cup both our Sunday under 14's are involved against Cabinteely home and Malahide away respectively.
All semi-finals by their very nature are close tight affairs and all these games are likely to be no different.
