This Saturday and Sunday was another big weekend for the club as our four remaining teams involved in last 16 round ties of the SFAI Cups and our under 15's and 17's SKB-BOHS Academy teams making their seasonal debut the National E A Leagues erer all in action.
Yesterday in Shanowen Road our Under 15 Premier team hosted Pike Rovers from Limerick in the SFAI Sketchers Evans Cup and were in control for long periods of the game without their dominance being reflected on the scorebpard - leading 1-0 at half time.
Pike mounted a rally early in the second half and the home 'keeper had to be alert making a fine double save to maintain the lead before two further goals put the issue beyond doubt. SKB scorers were Kevin Sajin, Oskar Keely and Johan Jinto. Knocknacarra from Galway will be their opponents in the quarter final at home.
In St Aidans St Patricks Athletic overcame SKB-BOHS in the first game of this seasons Under 17 EA National League.
Earlier today in St Aidans a fine hat-trick from Fuhad Kareem and another goal from Jamie Cummins helped our Under 16 Premier league side beat Cherry Orchard (M) 4-2 in the SFAI Sketchers Barry Cup andset up a tough trip to Tramore in Waterford in the quarter final.
Avenue United put up a spirited display but were no match in the end for our 14 Inter side at Shanowen Road in the SFAI Sketchers Goodson Cup. In the quarter final they travel to Limerick to play Corbally FC.
Our Under 12 Inter team were on the road today away to Springfield Ramblers of Cobh in the SFAI Sketchers Norton Cup and came home safely through to the quarter final with goals from Max Dunne, Zach Holmes and Mason Slevin where they will come up against Castlebar Celtic at home.
SKB-BOHS Academy Under 15's were in action against Athlone Town at the Athlone Town Stadium in their first game in this seasons EA National Under 15 League of which we are the holders and took the three points with a 3-1 win.
