Our Under 12 Inter Saturday team were on the road early this morning for their last 32 SFAI Cup game against Portlaoise FC in Rossleigh and after a tough encounter in which they led 1-0 at half time they ran out 4.0 winners in the end with goals from Sam Young, Mason Slevin,Tighe Hanlon and Callum Armstrong.
Both 2pm kick offs - for our 14 Saturday Inter away in Waterford to Southend United and the 15 Premier 1 away against Mallow Town - produced two further comfortable wins and safe passage for both to the last 16.
Sam Rooney was in top form as he scored 4 in the 14's win in Waterford with further goals coning from Sam Kierans, Marcel Schabowski, Zac Kieltyand Paddy Brides while Eoghan Ryan and Charlie Nolan got the goals in Mallow.
Our13 Sunday Inter faced a bigger stronger Arklow Town side at Shanowen Road and were not fazed by the challenge - playing some excellent football throughout - but the concession of two soft second half goals ended their interest in this years cup but they can be very proud of their achievement in advancincing to the last 32 and had they taken some of their chances the scoreline might have been different.
The final SKB team in SFAI cup action this weekend were the 16 Premier 1 team who played Esker Celtic iin the SDL Astro Park - a late switch from a waterlogged Hermitage Park - and they were in control throughout before eventually reaching the last 16 with a 5.0 win with goals from Dare Kareem 2, Jason McEvoy, TJay Olusanya and Karl Hearns.
