| Requirements | All FAI Coach Education muat start with a Safeguarding 1 workshop and approved Garda Vetting application. The participants must be 16 or over. |
| A link, along with the meeting ID and password, to the PDP 1 Course will be emailed to the email address you provide on the evening before or morning of the course. To access this course, you will need to click on the link or access via the meeting ID and password provided to you. On completion of the course, a certificate of attendance will be emailed to the email address you have provided. | |
| Goals | The course is designed to assist coaches, to introduce children (aged 6-9 years) to fun soccer games and FUNdamental movement skills in a well-structured, stimulating and safe environment. |

| Note | Any cancellations must be notified by email to Coach Education: coached@fai.ie Participants, who have paid for a course, shall not be entitled to refund if they are unable to attend a course. Any participant, who is unable to attend a scheduled course and has informed the Coach Education department of same, can reschedule to attend the course at a future date, of the participants choice, providing that course is not already fully booked. The FAI reserve the right to cancel an education course in the unlikely event of the; minimum number of participants not meeting quota, weather negatively affecting participants safety, government guidelines etc. If an event is cancelled by the FAI, each participant will be offered a full refund or placement on a future equivalent course. If a participant registers for a course, without meeting the necessary prerequisites, the participant shall not be entitled to a refund. The fees received by the Association will be kept on credit and can be used by the participant to complete the necessary prerequisite courses. |
| Method | 6 hour course which is delivered by trained FAI Coach Educators via the platform Zoom. Group work will also be used in some sections of the course. |

The format will look like this on the day,
09:30 – 10:45 Introduction, PDP plan, what is football.
10:45 – 11:00 Break
11:00 - 12:30 Role of the coach, skills required, coaching practice planning
12:30 – 13:00 Lunch
13:00 – 15:00 Video of practical sessions, coaching practice design and presentations, characteristics, reflection and finish.
Cost remains at €45 per person.
