With football severely restricted again due to increased covid protocols the Airtricity league was the only outlet for our players to display their talents this weekend and that they certainly did with four outstanding wins to keep all four teams in contention for qualifacation for the next stage of the competition.
Yesterday the Under 17's kept up their winning run with a 3-1 home win over Shelbourne at St Aidans with goals from Aaron Doran, Jamie Mullins and Sean Grehan, The Under 19's had a facile win at home to Drogheda United where Colin Kelly scored five and the total was added to by a Promise Omochere hat trick along with goals from Billy Vance and Darragh Livingston.
At St Aidans today the Under 13's scored their most impressive win to date coming from behind with a scintillating last quarter to beat St Patricks Athletic 5-2 with the ever improving Muhammmad Haris getting a hat-trick and defender Taylor McCarthy scoring the other two in what was by all accounts an entertaing and exciting game.
Later on in the afternoon the Umder 15's confirmed their recent 4-2 home win over Dundalk with an equally impressive 3-0 win at Oriel Park with Davin O'Connor again on the scoresheet with 2 and Jamie Murphy adding the other.
