Otn Saturday there were wins in the SFAI Cup for our Under 13 Premier home against Cambridge Boys, Under 14 Premier away at Leicester Celtic, Under 15 Premier away at Home Farm, Under 14 Major home to Ternure Rangers, three of our Under 12's home to Cherry Orchard away to Cabinteely and also away to Templeogue United while the Under 13 Major team lost narrowly 0-1 to Ballyoulster United
Sunday saw wins in the FAI Youths Cup for our 18 Major v Templeogue United and 17 Premier v Drogheda Boys while the 13 Sunday1 and 14 Sunday 1 advanced in the SFAI Cup at the expense of Swords Celtic and their fellow club mates our Sunday 14.3.
The 16 Premier 2 team went down to a singl goal defeat away to Premier 1 side Stella Maris at Richmond Road.
It was a cold and crisp but sunny morning earlier as our boys welcomed Cherry Orchard to Shanowen Road where these two U12 Saturday premier teams met in the 3rd round of the u12 Sfai Cup, with the pitch looking as excellent as ever, it was Cherry Orchard that made the breakthrough first when they took the lead slightly against the run of play,The Kevins lads played some excellent football at times, and got the reward their football deserved with goals from Cillian Ryan and Shay Casey meaning the boys went in to the the break 2-1 in front. Much of the same in the 2nd half saw Cherry Orchard being forced to go direct in search of an equaliser but in truth it was Kevin's that should have perhaps won the game more convincingly - the boys seeing the game out in the end comfortably. Overall a good day's work and the boys march on to round 4.. Best of luck to Cherry Orchard for the rest of their season..
There were wins in the SFAI Cup also for our Under 13 Premier home against Cambridge Boys, Under 14 Premier away at Leicester Celtic, Under 15 Premier away at Home Farm, Under 14 Major home to Ternure Rangers, both Under 12's away to Cabinteely and also away to Templeogue United while the Under 13 Major team lost narrowly 0-1 to Ballyoulster United.
