This morning's Under 16 SFAI Sketchers Barry Cup game saw a repeat of last seasons epic DDSL Under 15 Premier Cup final betwen SKB and St Francis and it produced another thriller to match it with SKB again coming out on top in another high scoring game that again needed extra time to decide it.
The scoring went SKB 1-0 Duffy, 1-1, SKB 2-1 Coogan, 2-2, SKB 3-2 Lynch, 3-3, SKB 3 St Francis 4, 4-4 O'Hara, before Eoin Hanley scored the winner with three minutes to go in extra time. Great credit is due to both teams for serving up such a cracking game which was played in a downpour throughout..
Three Under 12 SFAI Cup games went ahead in Shanowen Road this morning which brought wins against Arklow Town and Rathcool Boys but defeat for our 12 Major 0-2 at the hands of Cherry Orchard.
There was another great win today in the SFAI Under 16 Barry Cup for SKB 16 premier 2 side (pictured) who played a great game in tough conditions against a very good Rathcoole team. Credit to both sets of players and to Rathcoole getting the game played on grass. Score 2-1 Kevin's..
Drogheda Boys were too strong for our 16A 0-4 at St Aidans but the 12 Inter Saturday scored an impressive win away at Lourdes Celtic.
Yesterday our 13 Premier team had to fight hard to overcome Beechwood 4-1 while the 14 Premier team scored a 2-1 win over Cherry Orchard in a pulsating game in which Aaron Campbell sustained a nasty arm injury which will keep him sidelined for a month or so.
Our 15 P1 are through to the next round after a 5-0 win over Cabinteely and the 13 Major saw off Mount Merrion 2-0.
