Ali Regba tonight repeated his match winning exploits of earlier in the season when he scored two goals for Bohemians Under 19's in their Enda McGuill Cup win with what turned out to be the winning goal ten before half-time in the Airtricity National Under 19 League final tonight at Tallaght Stadium against Shamrock Rovers so ensuring Bohs retain their League crown and clinch the League and Cup double and will again be represented in next seasons Youths Champions League.
Bohs were the better side and could have added to their scoreline especially in the first half which they dominted. Ryan Graydon beat the offside trap but shot weakly allowing Kian Clarke to make the save and the keeper came out best again midway through the second half when Graydon - after rounding the keeper - saw his goalbound effort flicked away at the expense of a corner. Rovers did come into the game more in the second forcing Sean Bohan into an excellent save from a header from a corner kick but they never really looked like claiming an equaliser.
Congratulations to Jamie Hamilton on being voted man of the match for a sterling midfield performance throughout.
Roll-on next Thursday when the Under 15's will look to make it a double when they face St Patricks Athletic in the final at Dalymount Park at 7pm.
Get along and give your support the boys!!
