SKB are delighted that Brian McManus and Dawson Devoy from last seasons SKB Under 16 Premier squad have signed for Preston North End and Watford FC respectively.
Another ex SKB player Gavin Kilkenny has signed his first professional contract at Bournemouth FC having joined them from us as a scholar two seasons ago while Dara O'Shea has signed a further two year contact at WBA where he will be hoping to impress new boss Darren Moore following a very successful loan spell last season at Hereford FC.
We would also like to extend best wishes to Roland Idowu who played for SKB from Under 9 to Under 14 who has signed for Southampton from St Josephs Boys Club.
Both Brian and Dawson have progressed through the club playing on one of the most successful teams that ever graced the Club winning numerous SFAI Cups along with DDSL League and Cup honours through the years.
Brian joined SKB at Under 8 while Dawson has played with SKB from Under 11 before progressing to the SKB / BOHS Under 17 team this season in the Airtricity National League.
At Watford Dawson joins another member of that SKB group - Ryan Cassidy - who has done exceptionally well in his first season there scoring a bagful of goals at both Under 18 and 23 level and securing a first professional contract for himself.
Other players from that group who are making headway in their careers across channel are Ray O'Sullivan at Wolves, Kathelego Mashigo at Fleetwood Town and Kameron Ledwidge at Southampton.
They all have our best wishes for the season ahead and beyond.
