Our Leinster Senior League team got the second half of their season off to a flier tonight when proving too good for St Francis FC in an entertaining game played at a cold foggy St Aidans.
Goals in either half from Keith Rooney and Allison - who was making his first competitive appearance for the club having just received his international clearance this week - were enough to claim the three points and indeed the margin might have been greater had some more of the chances created been converted.
A serious shoulder injury to full back Jack Cunningham ended his involvement in the game in the first half which saw him removed to hospital by ambulance - we wish him a full and speedy recovery.
Next Friday they are home again in St Aidans at 8pm in a league tie against Ardmore Rovers.
