The Annual DB Sports Champions Cup finals took place yesterday when the current SFAI and NIFA cup holders met at four age groups at Oriel Park in Dundalk.
SKB who have won more DB Champions Cup trophies than any other club - north or south - were represented in three of the four finals and returned with two of the three finals contested.
(05's) SKB v Linfield FC - the result of this game was never in doubt as SKB dominated from start to finish scoring three in the first half through Danny Jeal, Jamie Murphy and Kevin Zeffi with substitute Daniel Bergin hitting two more in the second half. It was a remarkable4 season for this group of players who have won all competitions that thery completed for with the exception of the DDSL League Cup - SFAI Norton Cup, DDSL Premier League, SFAI Regions Cup and the DB Champions Cup.
(04's) SKB v Glentoran FC Despite being short some regular players our (04's) were always second best against a decent Glentoran side who scored once in each half.
(03's) SKB v Linfield FC This game brought to an end a fantastic season for this excellent group of players who won every competition that they took part in the SFAI Goodson Cup, DDSL Premier League, DDSL Thunder Cup, SFAI Regions Cup and the DB Champions Cup with a 2-1 win.
