After a run of a couple of weeks without a win our Senior team got back to winning ways tonight with a hard fought but deserved 2-1 win at a wind and rain swept St Aidans over Parkvilla.
Despite going a goal behind early in the game against the elements they fought back strongly to be in front by the 25th minute through goals from Bilal Baker and Luke Somers. The wind and rain disappeared at the start of the second and it was Parkvilla who had the better of the game and the better chances with Gavin Browne called on to make two excellent saves and Gavin McCabe clearing another off the line. It was not all one way traffic though with Baker and Doyne having shots stopped by the Parkvilla goalkeeper but neither side could add to their tally and despite nearly six minutes of additional time.
