A full list of league games over the weekend saw some good games played both home and away.
At Shanowen Road our Under 13 Premier side reversed a recent 1-0 defeat away to Shamrock Rovers with an emphatic 4-1 win with goals from Alex O'Brien Evan Ferguson (2) and Cian Kelly.
Also at Shanowen Road Home Farm proved no match for our Under 12 Premier DDSL team who having scored twice early on through Daniel Bergin, Jamie Murphy added a third before half-time before Marco Calderoni and Danny Jeal late on made them run out comfortable 5-0 winners.
Our 12B DDSL team got back to winning ways following their cup final loss to Palmerstown and a surprise league setback against Firhouse Carmel with a 2-0 win away to Kilnamanagh. They enjoyed the majority of possession in the game and were rarely troubled but missed many chances throughout but kept working hard and did eventually score five minutes from time through Sean Byrne and Jack Duffy made sure of the points three minutes later. They have five games left four home and one away so they've still a bit of work to do.
Dreadful defending was the cause of our Under 15 Airtricity's 3-5 defeat on Saturday evening against Athlone Town at Lisseywollen. Despite taking the lead twice in the opening 10 minutes with goals from Ebooka Favour and Paddy Moore they were pegged back within minutes on both occasions and were 2-3 down at the interval. Soon back on level terms through Ruadhan Coffey early in the second half they conceeded two more in the final seven minutes to leave Athlone Town celebrating their passage to the knockout stage and SKB needing to win their last game next Sunday against UCD to avoid finishing bottom of the group.
