Our Under 15 Airtricity team picked up their second win of the season when helped by an excellent first half performance - at the end of which they led 4-0 - they defeated Galway United 4-1 at a blustery Shanowen Road on Sunday..
Having a goal ruled out after just five minutes Jamie Farrell started a spree of three goals in three minutes in the 17th minute when he curled an excellent freekick into the top corner from twenty yards.
Eboka Favour headed in a second and Darragh Burns got the first of his two goals to go three up with only twenty minutes gone, it was 4-0 soon after when Darragh Burns added his second, all three goals coming as a result of crosses from the right side of the pitch.
Galway came out for the second half with a changed formation and with the aid of the breeze had pulled a goal back three minutes into the half and might have added another as they took control of the game but the home side defended strongly and broke forward on occasions but wasted some opportunities with the wrong options being taken but neither side could add to the scoreline.
So after four series of games their tally reads played 4 won 2 drew 1 and lost 1.
