The last in the series of games against American opposition took place tonight at St Aidan's when our Under 14 DDSL Premier team prooved far too strong for Kansas City Legends.
We hope all of our visitors from the USA enjoyed their time at SKB and we hope to see some of them return in the future.
Our Under 16 Premier team proved too strong for F C Dallas at Shanowen Road on Saturday as we hosted the first of a number of games with American Clubs and Academies. Two first half goals from Raz Abdul and Ger Loftus were added to after the break by Gabriel Okobundu and a Ross Tierney penalty as SKB ran out 4-1 winners. FC Dallas move on to Derry next week to play in the Foyle Cup.
Our Under 13's with some under 12's included played Abbeyvilla from Boston who are also heading for the Foyle Cup on Sunday morning where a Kevin Zeffi hat trick along with goals from Billy Gilmore and Byron Preston saw them win 5-1.
In the first of two games against Californian side Hollister Strikers our 17 Premier came from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 at St Aidan's last Tuesday night, The second game had a more clear cut result with our 16 Premier proving far too strong for the Californians at Parnell's last Thursday.
In what was probably the best game of the series so far saw our 15 Premier having gone a goal up through Dwayne McCourt against North Carolina Elite Academy found themselves 3-1 down early in the second half but two goals from Ebuka Kwelele saw the game finish 3-3.
